    all you have to do is download the client, extract it, run the launcher for all the patches to be downloaded, and then run the launcher again to enter the game.

    there have been thousands of players who have played on this server for almost a decade now, and honestly, this is the first time somebody has experienced this issue.

    if you can't solve it then I could take a look via anydesk.

    if your windows OS is installed on C drive then don't extract the client under C:\ or C:\Program Files (x86)
    otherwise make sure that you run both .exe's as administrator: right click => properties => run this program as an administrator

    however, I still think that you are just missing some files, you probably incorrectly extracted the client or it was cancelled/stopped during extraction for some reason.

    • Enforced skills' global cooldowns in the client;
      • Some skills have an internal (server-side) global cooldown, which is why skills with cooldown lower than global cooldown tend to silently fail, because this cooldown is not visible to the client and, consequently, not to the players.
        • This is no longer an issue and also reduces the gap between legit and macro players.
    • Weapons and their effects are now visible from any distance as soon as the character becomes visible on your screen, provided that extended visibility is enabled in the option editor.
      • Newer and custom items were already visible from any distance, and now the very old original items are as well.
    • Removed the base 5 fire, ice, and lightning resistances from all armors.
    • Reduced the dagger weapon defense on paper mage and battle priest rare helmets from 20 to 10.
      • The stat now correctly appears on all helmets in the game as well.
    • Reduced the reward of blessed upgrade scrolls from quests from 5 to 3.
    • Fixed an issue where active buff icons were not restored when cured by another character in lunar war and invaded lands, following the updates on September 2.
    • Fixed the attack animation of melee skills when viewed by others while equipped with two-handed weapons, following the updates on September 29.
    • Fixed the issue with the attack on Delos castle gates, following the updates on October 4.
    • Fixed an issue where winning clan members of the clan war, who did not participate but were online, were incorrectly not sent to the boss room, following the updates on October 27.
    • Fixed the issue where Delos castle gates sometimes failed to respawn when capturing the center artifact.
    • Fixed an issue with the lock state of skill bars on login.
    • Fixed an official issue where skills with item requirements would incorrectly appear as available on login, when the required items did not exist in the inventory.
    • Halloween event is now over.
      • Jack-O-Lantern will remain in Moradon town for one more week.

    Edit:

    • Added a new option in the option editor that allows you to choose how skill global cooldowns are enforced.
      • For those who are confused by it or don't like it for whatever reasons.

    is it possible to arrange it more stable? Like, for example damages can be between 2800-3400 for this example above instead of 1900-4100 @nikos32

    the hit rate formula is larger because it includes more variables into the calculation.
    and then imagine it picking a random number between 0 - xxx which adds as a hit rate.

    @Daggeron let's take a look at the outputs below:

    if we approx. the min and max values from the data above, the result would be:

    3.5k - 4.5k (vanilla 1298)
    4.1k - 5.3k (vanilla 1298 /w absolute power)

    4.9k - 6.3k (until sept 29)
    5.9k - 7.7k (until sept 29 /w absolute power)

    3.7k - 4.6k (since sept 29)
    4.4k - 5.5k (since sept 29 /w absolute power)

    the reason damages against monsters/NPCs were higher than expected until September 29 is due to the consequences of the PvP balance adjustments we've made over the years.

    now that magic damage is properly calculated, and magic skill damages are balanced, as you can see, the outputs are almost identical to vanilla.
    the only reason the damage is slightly higher now compared to vanilla (aside from some un-lucky highs/lows in the outputs above) is that all bonuses work, unlike in other v1298 servers, where the maximum that works is 2 elemental damage types.
    in the tests above, the character had 168 flame damage, 60 glacier damage, and 25 lightning damage. so, an additional 25 lightning damage was calculated, which normally would not. additionally, the character had 255 MP in stats and an extra +60 MP from items (armor with 0 MP).

     

    edit: a minor correction, the last outputs are not "since sept 29" but "since oct 04", not that it really matters, but let's be accurate.

    @AztecGoldHero when comparing with equal stats, it is impossible for a lightning mage to hit the same or higher damage than a fire mage.

    there is nothing wrong with the magic damages or the resistances.

    so, unless you used to experience lag, you are probably referring to another issue that was fixed at some point along the way and has nothing to do with what others are mentioning here.

  7. so, it's been tested with the following buffs active at the same time:

    tested in both classic war zone (alseids) and in luferson castle during invasion (without party).

    rogue slowed down by using the blizzard (level 45 mage) skill then waited for the debuff to expire, and then, speed buff icon as well as character's increased speed were restored.

    then tried the same thing but by using the cure curse (level 36 rogue) skill when debuffed and both were restored again.

    the tests took place at the center of the war map (next to the tree) and between lunar valley and centaurs area during invasion.

    so, we still don't know what else you specifically do that gets you in that bugged state and surprisingly there hasn't been any video record showing how it occurs.

  8. @hcx first of all, the account has not been accessed from any unusual network/pc.

    secondly, over 200 items were upgraded, deleted and sold via merchant to random people.

    items that have been upgraded or sold cannot be restored, but we could restore the items that were deleted.

    was there anything very valuable that we could use as a start point? because most of the items are +1's. 
    I'll try to make a list of anything I consider valuable, but a list from your side would also help.
