Make The Server Great Again

Hello,

Ever since the latest changes in the server, some things went south.

The main thing is the market; Players lost all they had (on their own choice) while gambling on Tempra [Limited-Time Vendor], which made prices drop significantly since more than 6,000 GBs were "burned".

Moradon is dead compared to previous points (And I'm not talking about the first months of the server), people are selling items at their lowest prices ever, and would be considered lucky to even sell anything at all.

For example: Legendary Weapons were around 500m-600m (+1) before the update, while today they barely sell for 300m, or for 999m for a +6 Legendary.

While macro farmers claim all the farming slots, it's impossible to bring back GBs to the market (which are already being sold illegally for $ by those same macro farmers).

Even though the beginner items update was brilliant, the gap between older, established players and the new players is larger since Moradon is a graveyard and there is absolutely nothing good to farm - Not to mention that PK rewards are a disgrace on the very least. 

 

I strongly suggest to apply the following to make our server great again:

1) Effect of immediately recognize macro parties as an illegal activity on farm as well as on PK and enforce it!

2) Add Gold Bars along with existing Silver Bars to Dark Mares, Booros and Titans drop list with a low drop rate - Also in Eslant.

3) Change Bravery Token awards to Silver Bars (Random PK reward).

4) Add Silver Bars with low drop rate on all the Bowl Bosses - This will encourage players to stay in bowl, which will then increase PK at all times of the day.

5) Change Red Treasure Chest award (Random PK reward) with Blue Treasure Chest.

6) Improve Ladder Points Medal rewards to more fitting for the server stage and player's effort. Here's an example for more fitting rewards:

     - Knight's Medal: Platinum Bar, Random Legendary Weapon+1, Random Garges Weapon+1, Random Valkyrie Armor+1

     - Royal Knight's Medal: Same as Knight's Medal items, just add on a very low rate an option to get a random BDW Ring+0 and on less than 1% a Rhodium.

     - King's Medal: Same as Royal Knight's Medal, just increase Rhodiuim with 3% chance to obtain, a random BDW Ring on a higher obtain rate along with +6 Legendaries, Garges and Valkyries instead of the +1s.

Just a friendly reminder that Ladder Medals are being exchanged normally once or twice a month by a pk-active player.

 

Those suggestions as stated above should fix the market - Bring more "clean" GBs to the server, encourage more "clean" farm, PK and also make bowl alive with players again.

I was thinking to increase cr farm also, to farm that many mobs for an item that won’t sell or will sell for 15mil is absurd now… at least play with chance at rodium, legendary, garges, bdw ring etc. I rarely see anyone farm cr.

Hello,

1. i agree to abolish the use of Macro - its only benefit those who got like 3-4 pc's + on that kind of server you dont need it, it also makes the server feel crowded doesnt show the real picture of population since 1 player is = 20 Macro players

2. Adding more Gold Bars\Silver bars to the server wont help it at all - it will just increase the prices of everything

3. Changing red treasure chest - totally agree useless item.

 

now for my suggestions and i did said that before

DO SOMETING WITH LUFERSON AND EMC,

right now those zones are just swap stations to move between mora and eslant,

1. schedule a change between Luferson to Breth and EMC to Piana - the same as happend with Ronark land at weekends,

2. add more farming mobs with mid-high tier (Raptors, Shards) with high drop chance - explaination: with that way new players can farm there without someone annoying them and they can get better gear for pk that way,

3. make an event for example - find the treasure event with like Low tier PUS items - that way newcomers will have something interesting of go do in luf and emc

4. change the Wings requirements - right now it is almost impossible for new players to make wings without the help of a big brother who donate them tons of coins and braveries.

atleast start with something then mybe new players will have hope to even start here

I dont think adding bars would change anything, prices will just go up and the market will continue dead because none wants anything, you'll just have money lol. I think there must have something new to farm, maybe a new set of armors and weapons with same stats as valks and legendary (or slight better to make people want it) and some kind of quest that demand farming and pking to obtain. People will farm and pk to get the pieces to forge those itens and also will sell it (make it tradeable ffs) to heat the market. Someone said about increasing the prizes on CR Farm, I totally agree, also would say to remove DM, Titan and Booro from CR Farm since new players dont have full parties to help them on that (even old players doesnt). 
Red Treasure as prize is an abomination, change it to blue and give yellow instead of greens, also, give PB on Cz Monument and CTEF. 
Also, maybe its time to add anti-macro system to CZ...or limit the number of characters logged per IP. 

Per armors I suggest Krowaz set, maybe with a little more resist/def/stat than valks (not more than 5/10%) and undefeatable weapons with the same idea (a little bit better than legendaries).

I think adding Gold Bars and Silver Bars is necessary for a couple of reasons:
1) Prices are too low, they should go up - Iron Belt shouldn't cost 12 GBs, Legendary +7 shouldn't cost 15 GBs..
2) Beginners can't get GBs because there aren't any places to farm other than Goblins or Beasts/Seekers which are slow.
3) Another way to keep the old players fun is to get more GBs, naturally, everyone wants to be rich.
4) It will give people who don't have clan a chance to get geared as well.

I’ll mention a few things, above all I’m waiting for event table remake… one event I think could be added is boss moradon/emc/luf raid.
 

1 - change all boss timers to randomized 1-6 hour window. Yes 1 hour as minimum so that there is a chance it’s not worth logging out, as a new one might spawn before pk winds down…

2 - overhaul the drop pool, dont need to change base items but adding items like silver/gold/plat bars with rare af drop rates to some mobs like bowl quest or lesser bosses in cz would be nice. Even riotes and atrosses could get an update.

3 - 100 kc bounty reward in bowl should be available for all classes. Why are assassins and warriors discriminated? Disable stealth for sin while he has a bounty on, same mechanic like when he would take a flag. Heck, disable light feet as well let them use swift then.

4 - make ladder points worth exchanging. It’s beyond useless now. Remove shit items from the drop pool and add something useful. Maybe PUS items? Top pkers should be rewarded.

5 - some cosmetic stuff would be nice to freshen things up. Like new cape colors/designs, transform scrolls, weapon skins… could even make it buyable in PUS to monetize for server upkeep.

6 - butterfly wings are worthless now, reevaluate goblin rare drop. maybe wing of war coupon? 3 or 5 will make full wings.

7 - free 2k hp and 350 ac scrolls from nopc in arena so people can test for free at max buff. Scrolls expire when leaving the zone and also can be deactivated within arena by double clicking the buffs.

8 - make a view counter to every player profile in KOPANEL so that we can see how many times our character page has been checked out by others. I’m a fan of statistics. Also online bowl time ranking would be nice to see who played the most each month and overall.

9 - blue shards are far less common than legendary tokens therefore garages weapons are way more rare. Garages stuff is weaker than legendary anyway in most cases so blue shards droprate should increase 2x-3x.

10 - please increase visibility of the party leader. Maybe make his name in bold or another Colour so that it’s easier for teams to see their commander. Could be an optional thing in game options.

if open +9/2 need make +7  +8 rate a bit better.. upgrade wit jewelery fine just make +2 half of +1 rate

Because if that were the case, merchant prices would have already returned to their previous levels. But either way, I want you to start a topic in Cheater Reports section with their character names and their farming locations.

I think its more about it is worthless to farm this stuff, even raptor +8 wont sell for 10gbs, only good thing from dm is killing 130 for a trina. You'd have to macro farm beasts for like 2 hours for 1 gb, and you will be killed before long.. there is no convenient way to farm.. It is good gbs were removed but a revamp on the farm portion of the game would be great.. the market is absolutely terrible with players needing just iron set +1 or to finally get +8 legendary weapons farming these little coins is a waste of time and effort. People come login for bosses because u can kill 1 boss and make more coins than if u farmer dm for 5 hours. The market this way is good for new players but there arent any lately, especially with people being less atracted to pk due to the cirumstances ive seen a few come for 1 or 2 days and never return

The thing is that most of the RoFs there were obtained from the NPC were either burned to +1  or made it to +1 by rich players who have advantage for buying GBs outside of the game. Now I don't have proof for this claim, but it's kinda known to every player here and it makes a huge difference.

I don't think all those slots you mentioned are filled with macro farmers, however you can't call them farming spots since if you farm them for more than 1 hour you will probably get depression lol...

Make farm fun, make it exciting and rewarding - Not the same repetitive action that makes you lose your mind...
Some suggested here new mobs, that could be nice but I know it takes a lot of effort to make. Changing the drops seems like a faster and easier solution that will bring excitement among farmers and fix the prices which shouldn't be this low.

I understand that everyone is a bit thrown off because of what’s been happening. I used to sell an item for 200 gold bars, and now only for 100 gold bars. But the thing is, if you’re earning less from selling items now, you can also buy new items at a lower price. So in the end, it doesn’t really make much of a difference.

It’s actually more attractive for new players to start playing when items are affordable just by farming. I used to buy all the Gigantic Axes and Scorpion Shields I could find, sometimes for 100 million each, and now I buy them for 40–50 million. And I also sell them at +7 for about half the price.

So basically, we just had a huge market inflation, and now it has stabilized again. Just get used to it. Gold bars, platinum bars, and BUS still sell for the same price to the NPC, so you can take advantage of that.

Farming can definitely be boring, but wouldn’t it be a good idea to make a stronger variant of monsters like Booro's? 

Right now, drops like Black/Red Chitin are pretty much useless, and the same goes for Princess Butterfly Wings. Rainbow Gobs are almost never killed anymore either.

 Introduce Elite variants of these monsters, like Elite Titan or Elite Booro. They could have fewer or slower spawns, but offer a chance at better rewards—like gold bars or even rare drops such as a random BDW ring (+0). For example, something with a 1/5000 drop rate would make it really exciting.

Moments like getting such a rare drop would be unforgettable, especially if there were a global message announcing it to all Professionalko players online.

Anyway, just some ideas. It might be a good idea to create polls with community-suggested features and let players vote on them.

I think the main objective should always be more pk, there are already big incentives to farm. I mean if you want p3 wings as a new player you will need to farm all day. But ofc, people play ko to pking, not as a farm simulator (and that's why so many users farm with macro bots and multiple accounts).

I don't think your suggestions would incentivize more pk. From what I've seen the things that get ppl pking are fun maps (rlb, lunar, invasion, etc), some bosses (isiloon, felankor, etc), and manly an even distribution of orcs and humans.

The starting gear is not great, but it's not supposed to be. With a FT necklace, skele belt, and some dd helmet you're good to go. Players that are new or play very casually will never put in the time to get +1 uniques, iron set, max out armor, p3, or top tier weapons. It's fine as it is, you shouldn't expect to win 1v1 against vastly more geared players, but you can pk in parties.

I don't think casual players don't play more because they find it hard to gear up. I think it's mainly a difference in time investment. No casual player is running around in eslant or emc/lfc. The pk with what they have in the time they have to play.

However they will log off if cz is empty, as would most people.

And for coordination, you have the bosses and the fun maps. You know that in rlb people will log in, so there is a greater chance to have a balance of orcs vs humans and you can have some pk. Same in lunar, etc. Ofc, you don't have that 24/7. In order to be fun maps, you need the normal boring cz maps.

If you want that 24/7, or closer to that, you would need something like p4 wings. Something high invested users want to chase (runes were an attempt at that). However it's tricky, because it's not sustainable and you need to make it attractive enough (and related to normal cz pking, not FT, Lunar, etc). You can only power scale so much until you get to +3 uniques and +10 weapons. And the more you do that, the higher the gap between top end and base players, which forces you to upgrade begginer gear and so on. Not a good cycle to be in long term.

I think nikos understand this from what I've seen. Printing money by making it more accessible doesn't change any of this, it will just lead to higher prices.

If anything is under explored it's cosmetic changes. In other games, high invested players can go to great lengths only for their char to look "cooler" or "distinct". You can do this without affecting the balance. And ko has a lot of under utilized skins. Personally, I think the Bone Staff looks sick and the design rots in obscurity in your client. I bet people will farm in bowl long hours to have their weapons/armor look like their favorite skin. And bowl farm = pk.
